PROTOTYLE
Parametrically designed and digitally fabricated by industrial robots, 'Protitle 0' is the second in a series of robot machined projection sculptures from artists Philip Reyneri and Charles Aweida. Based on extruded Penrose tile patterns, the relief displays both noise and interlocking repetition — dependent on the viewer's position. The lighting projection dynamically morphs in relation to the physical form, intern highlighting specific features of the geometry.
WIND DATA SCULPTURE
Representing wind through digital fabrication and the tangible is a new media art piece centered around the concept of creating tangible artifacts from intangible forces. In this case a sculptural data visualization generated from the forces of wind.
ALGORITHMIC FRITTING ART
Computational Fritting Art
Cube Medical
Cube is an IOT medical device used for administering and tracking medication
Bothouse
Bothouse is dedicated to researching and teaching new ways of leveraging industrial robots for creative purposes.
Nod
Nod aims to make messaging more expressive, personal and interactive. Nod is a new messaging app geared towards non-verbal communication through animation and customization.
Open Window
Open Window allows people to explore what the world is saying through a geographic window defined by a radar display.
Archdata
Archdata is a place for people to find rich information about buildings and their associated architects, materials and features through a series of linked relationships.
MODAL NODES
Modal Nodes is an experiment of large scale gesture based motion control performed through an interactive art installation consisting of a music sequencer which uses the Microsoft Kinect to gather human motion.
Pickup Sticks Sculpture
Robot Fabricated Pickup stick sculpture
JEDDAH STADIUM DESIGN
Exploration of environmentally driven generative panel techniques for the stadium typology.
Ledge
Ledge Charger
Interactive Aperture
Demo showcasing a ping ultrasonic sensor sending a digital signal to Arduino, the signal from Arduino is piped into grasshopper3d which drives a parametric model in the Rhino3d viewport.
Evo- lutionary Form Finding
Evolutionary problem solving mimics the theory of evolution employing the same trial-and-error methods that nature uses in order to arrive at an optimized result. When automated for specific parameters and results, this technique becomes an effective way to computationally drive controlled results within the iterative design process allowing designers to produce optimized parameters resulting in a form, graphic or piece of data that best meets design criteria.
JMC Medical Center
Jacobs Medical Center at UC San Diego Health. $859-million, 245-bed, 10-story medical specialty center expected to open in 2016.
Interactive Inflatable Balloon
Inflating the digital through the physical.
